Perhimpunan PATTIRO Semarang, currently called PATTIROS, is an NGO devoted to guarding the mandate of the reform era through the reform of local public resource governance since its establishment in 2002 as a facilitator team, and incorporated in 2004.
Local public resources, whether managed by the government or corporations, are public property, which must be managed responsibly, accountably, transparently/openly, efficiently, and participatively, especially for citizens who are affected or beneficiaries of these resources.
Overseeing this resource governance reform is done by carrying out two strategic roles, as WATCHDOG and THINK TANK.
As a WATCHDOG, PATTIROS implements strategic programs in the form of Policy Monitoring; to ensure that every policy issued by resource managers does not contain elements of corruption, collusion, nepotism, and mal-administration. Ensuring that every policy complies with laws and regulations and public norms, upholds openness, and accountability.
As a THINK TANK, PATTIROS provides two strategic programs, namely Strategic Community Services and Governance Reform.
The first strategic program, Strategic Community Services, is a service provided by PATTIROS to assist, support, empower, organize, and strengthen the needs and interests of strategic groups, such as women, children, people with disabilities, poor families, indigenous communities, and citizen groups affected by development and/or climate change.
The second strategic program, Governance Reform provides support, guidance, coaching, and services for public resource managers to be willing and able to implement reform mandates in the field of public resource governance under their authority or responsibility.
