Founded in 1983 Trans Europe Halles unites 162 grassroots arts and culture centers with strong DIY, independent, community driven and alternative values, across more than 40 countries. We support grassroots communities in their endeavours to reclaim abandoned spaces and transform them into vibrant hubs for arts and culture. Together, we regenerate communities, neighbourhoods and cities, and we promote social, environmental and spatial justice.
