The French American School is an independent school offering grades from preschool through eighth grade, accredited by the French Government and the Rhode Island Board of Education. FASRI was founded in 1994.
FASRI is a French School with a dual-language program: two languages are embedded in one curriculum. In 2015/16, we introduced a Late Immersion program for non-French speaking students in the elementary grades.
FASRI adheres to the rigorous requirements of the French Ministry of Education and the highest standards of American independent schools. We follow the French curriculum guidelines from the Ministere de l'Education Nationale (French Ministry of Education). FASRI achieved accreditation by NEASC in 2013 and is a member of NAIS.
