Piaval’s story began in 1919, when it first opened as a small workshop for the production of wooden chairs. Today, it is a valuable industrial reality, founding its entrepreneurial heritage in craftmanship and in-depth knowledge of materials. Chairs, armchairs, lounges, sofas, seating systems and tables, for the contract/hospitality and healthandcare sectors are created in collaboration with international designers, according to the authentic Made in Italy values, and exported all over the world. Piaval collections offer comfort, resistance to time and use. The entire production process brings together highly specialized departments to ensure constant quality. Thanks to technological skill and constant investment in research and development, each and every collection is created with a focus on the customer’s needs, is versatile in terms of upholstery and finishes, flexible in the level of customisation, adaptable to the specific needs of each contract project. Piaval is fully committed to the environment and sustainable development: the resulting scraps of wood are used as fuel, 100% of the heat required for drying processes comes from clean energy sources. Wood is treated with strictly water-based varnishing cycles. On request, products can be FSC® certified, made using wood obtained exclusively from protected and controlled forest areas. Piaval is UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 certified. Since 1999, the safety and durability of its products has been certified by CATAS, the largest Italian institute for certification within the wood and furniture industry. Some models have been certified by Ergocert, the ergonomics usability and research body.
