Helibras is the only Brazilian manufacturer of helicopters. The company is a Airbus Group subsidiary, the market’s leader, controlled by the Airbus Group. With almost 50% participation in Brazil’s biturbine helicopter’s fleet, Helibras is in activity since 1978 and maintains installations in Itajubá (MG), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Brasília (DF), Atibaia (SP) and São Paulo (SP). Its factory employs more than 550 employees and has a production capacity of 36 aircrafts per year. Located in Itajubá, its installations manufactures various helicopter models that supply the civilian, governmental and military segments. Since its foundation, Helibras has delivered more than 750 helicopters in Brazil, the Squirrel model makes up for 70% of this number.
