Altiplano Metals Inc. is part of the Metals Group of companies focused on expanding, acquiring and developing cash flowing and near term cash flowing copper, gold and silver assets.
Management has a successful track record of identifying and investing in undervalued assets, adding value through technical and market expertise and accessing capital markets; and delivering returns to shareholders.
Altiplano main asset Farellon, is an IOCG deposit located near La Serena in Chile. Acquired in 2017, Altiplano has been developing the asset through an underground decline system where the company operates a number of development headings. To date the company has extracted over 2.4 mm pounds of copper and has been cash flow positive at the operations for over 7 consecutive quarters.
Based on the success of technical and financial improvements at site, and the opportunity to increase the extraction of additional tonnes, Altiplano is in the process of expanding the decline at Farellon to the 370 m level. In addition, APN is preparing expansion of the underground workings at the adjacent Laura and Rosario veins. The expansion will be used to support an on-site fit for purpose mill and recovery plant to enhance profitability currently under construction.
The Company will continue to assess new opportunities where management’s expertise and knowledge can leverage the success at Farellon as a repeatable business model and bring exceptional value to shareholders.
We are also interested also in reviewing and acquiring projects with processing infrastructure on site. In these scenarios, our technical expertise can increase efficiencies and improve output. In addition, our access to capital markets can be used to expand infrastructure and processing systems. Ultimately our goal is to acquire and develop a number of assets and grow into a mid-tier producer.
