Volunteers BCN is a non-profit association started by 3 individuals willing to provide emergency aid to Ukrainian refugees who just arrived to Barcelona. They've converted a small travel agency office into an emergency help distribution center, started to collect food and first-need items donated by friends and colleagues, and hand them out right on the spot to those in need. In just a few days, the number of community volunteers reached 800 people, and it keeps growing. With no government funding, relying purely on donations by individuals who found out about us by word-of-mouth, volunteers have served almost 3000 visitors and distributed 1200+ aid kits. Knowing first hand about the most acute problems, we are scaling up our operations to start helping refugees on their next most needed steps - social adaptation, language learning, and employment. To be able to do so, we are looking for support from corporate donors and organizations.
