SMP Racing is the largest and most successful national motorsport development program in the world. Founded by Boris Rotenberg in 2013. Since its foundation, more than 3,000 Russian racing drivers - from young 6-year-old go-kart racers to the most experienced drivers of the world level, have competed within the SMP Racing program. The SMP Racing program racing drivers’ geography is Russian wide – from Sakhalin to Kaliningrad. The driving force of SMP Racing program are the best Russian sportsmen, who represent our country in the international motorsport championships: Sergey Sirotkin, Vitaly Petrov, Mikhail Aleshin, Egor Orudzhev, Matevos Isaakyan, Victor Shaytar, Robert Shwartzman, Nikita Troitskiy and many others. The SMP Racing drivers give great performances in the world series. They have more than 300 victories and podiums in the most prestigious international competitions: World Endurance Championship, European Le Mans Series, IndyCar, GP2 (Formula 2), Formula 3 European Championship, World Series by Renault (Formula V8 3.5), Formula Renault 2.0, and dozens of other championships. The most significant motorsport competitions in Russia are also held under the auspices of the SMP Racing program: the Russian Circuit Racing Series, the SMP Formula 4 NEZ Championship, the Championships of the Federal Districts and the Russian Drag Racing Championship SMP RDRC, the Russian stage of the world series Ferrari Challenge, National Russian karting tournament, as well as many regional motorsports competitions. Every year the SMP Racing program takes giant steps in the development of Russian motorsport, conquering new peaks and expanding the field. Season 2017 wasn’t an exception: contract with the Formula 1 team, creation of a Russian LMP1 car - the BR1 prototype - are the results of the successful and efficient SMP Racing program development strategy.
