Better Future Project (BFP) brings together member students and community groups in a powerful grassroots movement to shift society beyond coal, oil, and gas and achieve a sustainable future for all. By empowering, connecting, and activating leaders across the climate movement, BFP is helping to build a social movement that can confront the fossil fuel industry and show our leaders that we demand bold action in this time of crisis.
Our three programs are 350 Massachusetts (350 Mass) , Divest Ed, and Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW).
350 Mass
350 Mass is our statewide climate-action volunteer network. 350 Mass educated the public around key policy priorities including carbon pricing, increased renewable energy, and the need to codify into law environmental justice protections. Volunteer leaders in our 18 nodes of 350 Mass helped achieve local policy victories in their communities.
Divest Ed
We are the home of Divest Ed, the training and strategy hub for student divestment activists across the United States. We amplify and coordinate a sustainable student movement on nearly 100 campuses nationwide that can challenge institutions, build critical awareness, share resources, and organize for social justice.
CREW
The realities of climate change have forced people across the world to accept a new ‘normal’, but little is being done to educate and equip communities with the resources they need to be prepared. We work with cities and towns, houses of worship, libraries, civic organizations, and everyday citizens through educational, service, and planning activities to help communities enhance their social resilience in the face of climate impacts.
