Called one of the province’s most effective advocacy groups, Dogwood is a people-powered organization driven by a shared love of B.C.. We bring together voters from across the political spectrum to work on the urgent challenges facing our home.
Dogwood is probably best known for the No Tankers campaign and the fight against Enbridge’s Northern Gateway Pipeline and the Trans Mountain Expansion Project. But we don’t just work to protect the environment — we work to change how decisions are made in B.C.
Our campaigns aim to break the hold oil and gas CEOs, industry lobbyists, political insiders and party donors have over decision-makers – making them more accountable to everyday people.
What does this look like in real life? It looks like chasing a pipeline company back to Texas, stopping a massive thermal coal export facility, banning unlimited out-of-province corporate and union campaign donations, winning a corruption inquiry, and promoting local renewable energy projects.
