Nebraska State Historical Society is a state agency that collects, preserves and opens to all the histories we share. Founded in 1878, we open to all the histories we share. NSHS contains multiple divisions that help to accomplish our mission: Archology, Collections, Conservation, Education, Historic Preservation, Publications. Together we find, preserve, interpret, and share Nebraska's history with its people.
