The goal of Helping Hands for Freedom programs is to provide support for the sacrifices that children and families of military service members make when a loved one is lost or wounded in the line of duty. Our mission is to make sure they are provided for, know they are appreciated, and to offer mentors and role models to fill a void in the children’s development. With adequate funding, outstanding leadership, and an active board and committee, Helping Hands for Freedom will make a difference for children ages 18 and under. Money raised will go to funding our Life Enrichment Programs, Life Emergency Needs Programs, Sports & Education Camps, and our Dream “Chaser” Program for the military children of fallen, wounded and deployed. Life Enrichment Programs – Connecting children and families in the community Summary – HHFF brings the children and families together to help them deal with issues only understood by the families of military service members who have a loved one lost or wounded in the line of duty. Sports & Education Camps – Partnering with Pro Athletes Summary – HHFF will partner with professional athletes, college athletes and local high school coaches to serve as instructors to bring military children, ages 7 to 18, together to learn about sports, fitness, lifestyle, and nutrition. Life Assistance – Emergency Needs and Activities Summary – Provide emergency financial assistance to military families based on needs that arise from financial hardships faced when a family member is wounded or lost while serving their country. Dream “Chaser” Program - Fulfilling the dreams of Children Summary – Helping Hands for Freedom will focus exclusively on serving military children who have lost a mother or father in the line of duty. The program will help fulfill a dream or share an experience that would enrich the child’s life and create a lifelong positive memory.
