CRMA History: The Chattanooga Manufacturers Association (CMA) was founded in 1902.
CMA was the first local manufacturers association in the United States founded by Captain CD Mitchell. Captain Mitchell was also instrumental in founding the Tennessee Manufacturers Association (now known as the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and the National Association of Manufacturers.
CMA moves into its second century as the independent, assertive advocate for manufacturers in the Chattanooga Region. CMA changed its name to the Chattanooga Regional Manufacturers Association in October 2010.
The Chattanooga Regional Manufacturers Association works to enable cooperation, competitiveness, and profitable growth for all Tennessee manufacturers to create an enriched economic future for all. CRMA has a professional staff dedicated to the needs of its members.
