Türk Loydu is an “International Classification and Conformity Assessment Body”, providing classification, inspection and certification services, which was established by the Chamber of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers in 1962 with the contributions of the Turkish Union for Insurance and Reinsurance Companies and with the participation of organizations such as The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Chamber of Shipping, Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects, Shipowners’ Association, Shipbuilders’ Association, Union of Boiler and Pressure Vessels Manufacturers.
Türk Loydu; which was found by the own resources of Turkey in 1962 by the significant organizations of the sector, has pioneered the developments in the marine and land industry and maintained its development by enlarging its service areas since its foundation.
Where we stand now, Türk Loydu maintains its services within the frame of its accreditations and authorizations with international recognition and provides ship classification, certification of management systems, product and personnel, conformity assessment and third party controlling services in a wide range of sectors from training, machinery manufacturing to shipbuilding with its technical personnel who are competent in various fields.
