Muscat Asian Beach Games Organising Committee has been formed to plan and deliver the 2nd Asian Beach Games Muscat 2010. MABGOC is comprised of local and international staff with experience in organising Olympic, Asian Games and other national and international sporting events. Key functions of the organising committee include: - Promoting and generating excitement and participation in the Games locally and internationally for stakeholders including Asian NOCs, sponsors, spectators, volunteers, staff and suppliers - Working alongside the Government of Oman’s tourism development authority OMRAN in the construction of the Al-Musannah Sports City project to ensure the facilities meet the operational and design needs of the Games - Ensuring the Games leave a lasting legacy for the future of Oman Vision: To proudly host a world-class Games that will position Oman as a progressive, outward looking and uniquely hospitable part of Asia, and define Oman as a host for future international events. Mission: To successfully host Oman’s biggest ever international sporting event, celebrating sporting and cultural diversity from across Asia while embracing Omani heritage and values.
