The Heritage listed Courthouse Restaurant (c1853) is steeped in history and character from the moment you enter. It has private dining rooms, including the original Judges Chamber and the Cell Block. The main dining room was extended in the 1970's using porphyry stone salvaged from the demolition of the Supreme Court in Brisbane by the late visionary, Ann Garms. The current owner, Mary Gibb, has been the proud caretaker since March 1998, and has lovingly and continuously cared for the property for more than two decades now. Successfully integrating modern technology & equipment with classic, white cloth service standards. Just 20 years old when she bought her first restaurant, her passion & dedication to her industry, to her team and to her guests, continues 30+ years on... Whether the occasion is an intimate dinner for two, or an event for 200, the Courthouse has the perfect area, and long standing reputation, with a team of friendly, dedicated professionals who will always strive to make it a memorable one. The Courthouse property also boasts some stunning, fairylit outdoor areas, with a manicured lawn right on the water's edge, looking over the bay onto North Stradbroke Island.
