The National Justice Museum is an award-winning museum and education provider with the UK’s largest collection relating to law, justice, crime and punishment.
We help people to gain a better understanding of the law and justice system in order to inspire them to make positive changes in their lives and play an active role in society.
We develop and deliver education programmes in sites across the UK including:
National Justice Museum, Nottingham (head office)
City of Caves, Nottingham
The Royal Courts of Justice, London
The Civil Justice Centre and Crown Court, Manchester, Greater Manchester Police Museum and the University of Bolton
We strive to educate young people to be responsible citizens, to advocate equality and fairness for all and provide memorable learning experiences.
Through visits to our education programmes and visits to our museum we aim to:
• Provide opportunities for people to learn about the law, how it is made and how it can be changed
• Empower people to take an interest in their rights and responsibilities, to become an active citizen
• Help people reflect on what is right and wrong and communicate this to others
• Create enjoyable learning opportunities connecting life experiences with new spaces and objects
• Empower people to live and work within the law
