JEC Toronto is an entirely student-led non-profit that provides determined, aspiring high school students exposure to the real world. As an organization, we firmly believe that given the right guidance and support, high school students are fully capable of solving the toughest economic issues facing our society. The Club provides the necessary resources to empower tomorrow’s leaders to make an impact in their communities today. By sparking and facilitating meaningful discussions about economic problems, we work toward more innovative and effective solutions.
The current education system does not adequately prepare students for the growing complexity of the economy. By starting preparation early, the Junior Economic Club is guaranteeing Toronto's continuing prosperity for generations to come.
THE STRUCTURE
Economic Forums
Our quarterly events bring together JEC Toronto members with leading figures of Toronto's business world. Each gala event features distinct keynotes speakers in fields of entrepreneurship, business, finance, policy and more. Each event contains a networking session in which members have the chance to meet and connect with students from all around the city.
Member Engagement Program
The JEC Toronto gives members exclusive access to summer programs, internships, and more! Our quarterly events bring together club members with leading figures of Toronto's business world. Another component of the engagement program - The Junior Economist, our quarterly publication written by students for students, discussing contemporary economic issues.
High Returns Initiative
We believe that an essential component of leadership is community outreach. The club's community initiatives are service learning projects aimed to give back to communities all around Toronto.
