Edge Effect ensures that the rights, needs and strengths of people of diverse sexual orientation, gender identity/expression and sex characteristics (SOGIESC aka LGBTIQ+ people) are addressed in international humanitarian and development programs. Our work includes participatory research, program design, program implementation, program evaluation, policy and practice development, and training. We work alongside with diverse SOGIESC civil society organisations to support their engagement within the humanitarian and development sector. And we work with donors, UN agencies and INGOs who work within the humanitarian and development sector.
Edge Effect created the 42 Degrees Library provides an accessible interface to the growing evidence base for why humanitarian and development programs needs to address diverse SOGIESC inclusion. Later in 2020, Edge Effect will launch two additional companion services under the 42 Degrees banner, a community of practice and a suite of online training resources. www.42d.org
