Each year, House of Ruth serves more than 1,000 survivors of homelessness and domestic violence who live in Washington, DC. We support survivors by offering enriched housing for families and single women, trauma-informed daycare for children, and free counseling to empower anyone, regardless of gender, who is a survivor of trauma and abuse.
Our mission is to empower women, children and families to rebuild their lives and heal from trauma, abuse and homelessness.
Our vision is to enable the people we serve to achieve stable housing, trauma recovery, mental health, addiction recovery, employment and abuse-free relationships.
