BCCM delivers additional services into Belfast city centre, on behalf of its core funders and the private sector, which contribute in a measurable way to a cleaner, safer, more attractive, accessible and economically vibrant city.
What area of Belfast City Centre does BCCM cover?
BCCM operates within Belfast’s core city centre; the area is bounded in the north at the junction of Royal Avenue and Donegall Street, in the East by Ann Street (at the junction with Victoria Street), in the South at Shaftesbury Square, and in the west by Great Victoria Street.
Is BCCM part of Belfast City Council?
BCCM is a partnership company core funded by Belfast City Council and the Department for Communities and levers private sector funding to assist in the delivery of projects. BCCM also provides services to Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce and Belfast One via Service Level Agreements. BCCM is legally constituted as a Company Limited by Guarantee with a representative Board of Directors.
What is the BCCM Business Liaison Service?
Belfast City Centre Management provides a team of Business Liaison Officers to engage with the business community and statutory agencies on all matters relating to public space management, economic performance and safety issues.
Each Business Liaison Officer is responsible for a dedicated geographical area within the city centre, which develops close working relationships with business managers and owners.
What impact does Business Liaison have on Belfast City Centre?
The Business Liaison Officers provide a first point of contact for businesses with queries or problems. These officers take ownership of the issue when they can, or provide advice and signposting to other agencies. The Officers also ensure businesses are aware of important information coming from our core funders.
