F1 in Schools is the largest global STEM competition for students. It is an international multi-disciplinary program where teams of students aged 9 to 19 form their own "F1 teams", emulating real Formula1 race teams. Twenty-two million students from forty-four countries utilize a variety of cutting- edge software to design, test, analyze, and manufacture 1/20 scale race cars powered by CO2 cartridges. Teams must also create a pit display, portfolio, verbal presentation, marketing materials, and an innovative team identity to distinguish themselves from the competition. In addition to the challenge, teams must raise the necessary support to cover the costs of competition through sponsorships and in-kind donations. The mission of F1 in Schools is to give students real world exposure and experience with project management, publicity, fundraising, budgeting, engineering, graphic design, manufacturing, communication, industry collaboration, and much more.
