We want our pubs to be the hub of the local community, a home away from home for our locals where food, drink and service are always exceptional. Our name Hippo Inns has come about as a result of Rupert Clevely’s three daughters saying, “Dad, you’ve been wallowing around doing nothing for far too long.” Rupert and his wife Jo were the founders of Geronimo Inns which they sold to Youngs in 2010. We all felt it was about time they got back in the game. Family values are what we are all about. We are a small team dedicated to delivering great food and drink at a sensible price in glorious surroundings. Hippo pubs are created to be places you want to chill out, relax and cater for all with a large emphasis on being an friendly environment for our neighbours and locals they aim to feel as if they are an extension of your own home, warm cosy and inviting. Our food offer harks back to the simplicity of open fire cooking from when ale houses were first born. Our spit & grill concept will be visual to the customer and the menu will showcase the best British fresh ingredients, serving them respectfully with minimal fuss. Our pubs main drinks offer will be focused around a great range of beer and rotating local ales with a 20 strong wine list. You will also find a feature cocktail bar with the best Gin, Vodka and Rum collection in pubs within London. The cocktails will be quick & delicious created by our very own mixologist who will train and manage our teams to ensure they a served to our high Hippo standard everytime.
