Poppy's Picnic is a fast-growth pet food business producing fresh, nutritionally balanced raw dog food. It’s handmade in the heart of Wiltshire by 4th generation butchers using ingredients humans would eat. No fillers, no additives or preservatives, it’s the food nature intended – and it’s the closest to what a dog would choose to eat in the wild. Poppy’s Picnic was inspired by CEO Dylan Watkins’ miniature schnauzer, Poppy. When overhauling his own diet, Dylan realised just how bad processed food is for humans, and that the healthiest way to feed Poppy was the way that nature intended. Dylan seized the opportunity and set to work crafting a recipe using every utensil in his kitchen! Since the launch of Poppy’s Picnic in October 2016, the company has turned down four offers from the Dragons of Dragons’ Den, and run a successful crowdfunding campaign, raising £350,000 in just three days and going on to overfund to £600,000.
