Advisory services include:
Concept / Bid Stage:
• Develop initial material staging and installation plans;
• Develop best-practice guides to demonstrate commitment to successful project outcome and commitment to working with timber;
• Assist with risk assessment cost estimates including storage, treatment, mould, remedial works, timber sanding and finishing.
Design Stage:
• Provide advice on efficiency of design for implementation on site;
• Manage shop drawing process;
• Provide considerations to simplify install on site where appropriate;
• Manage external consultants and installation team on behalf of main contractor;
• Develop preferred installation sequencing for efficiency;
• Consult with temporary works engineer and site team to coordinate timber package on behalf of client.
Manufacture Stage:
• Manage tender and procurement;
• Undertake cost-analysis of pre-assembly options where applicable;
• Prepare detailed project specific site installation guide to incorporate architectural details, structural details and manufacturers details into single site guide for maximum efficiency on site, including:
o General equipment list;
o Protection of timber and best practices;
o Staging locations and lifting methodology;
o Detailed install procedure for each member, in sequence, with part number, equipment requirements, fixing type and steel connector in step-by-step manual that can be followed on site without need to refer to drawings and model;
o Temporary works requirements for each member including propping requirements;
o Moisture and UV management plan to be followed on site (it is critical to have project specific moisture management plan in place);
o Site protection requirements.
Construction / Site Stage:
• Oversee site installation;
• Attend to site RFI’s;
• Prepare site inspection and defect reports;
• Provide remedial works advice.
