The company incorporated in 1999 was re-launched as Ceylon Asset Management Co. Ltd. (CAM) in 2005. Under the regulatory framework of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC), we manage eight funds, including the only dollar bond fund in Sri Lanka, with Deutsche Bank AG as the trustee and custodian.
CAM funds are managed by a group of experienced and established professionals in the investment and risk management industry based in Sri Lanka and overseas. We aim to provide investors an avenue to invest in rewarding but low-risk products in a transparent and convenient manner. Our strategy is to concentrate on asset allocation on secure and liquid financial instruments in order to ensure the safety and long term growth of our unit holders’ investments.
Our fund managers and research analysts are experienced and qualified individuals, who are guided by the investment committee in making optimal investment decisions.
The Ceylon Dollar Bond Fund was awarded the same Sri Lanka country rating of a ‘B+’ by Fitch Ratings in the first dollar rating of a unit trust in Sri Lanka due to superior risk management techniques adopted by the fund. We are also the pioneering fund manager to adopt CFA Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) in Sri Lanka in 2012 to comply with international performance reporting.
