Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds carries out administrative and other tasks related to: • Planning and implementation of regional development policy and establishing a comprehensive system of planning, programming, management and financing of regional development • Coordination of participants and activities related to planning, programming, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of annual and multi-regional development programs and projects intended for the development of county and wider region, encouraging the development of areas lagging behind the national average of development, encouraging the development of cross-border, interregional and transnational cooperation as well as the preparation of priorities and perennial and annual strategic and operational documents for the use of EU funds and other international sources of funding allocated for regional development • proposing changes the system of regional development • proposing and coordinating the implementation of government incentives and regional development programs and projects and monitoring their implementation and evaluation of their effects • Coordination and management of intersectoral working groups related to regional development and coordination of all activities related to harmonization with the EU in regional policy and structural instruments • etc.
