Purple Line Transit Partners LLC in the concessionaire to finance, develop, design, construct, equip and supply light rail vehicles for, and operate and maintain, a 16.2-mile light rail transit line that runs from Bethesda to New Carrollton, extending east-west inside the Capital Beltway within the Maryland suburbs north of Washington, DC. There will be 21 stations and 26 light rail vehicles on the new line.
