Competence was established in 2005 to respond to the unmet communication needs of multinationals and small/medium-sized businesses alike, who often cannot find a cost-effective solution in the services offered by large but «impersonal» PR networks or by single professionals who lack an organised structure and/or an international background.
Competence has a distinctive and analytical strategic approach to integrated communication, which allows for flexibility in terms of timing and budget and relies on the expert use of new media.
The Agency’s team is organised into four divisions -CORPORATE, CONSUMER, TECHNOLOGY and SOCIAL -who together give life to a “consulting boutique” that designs and implements, with expertise and passion, turnkey “communication plans”: from media relations to internal communication, from special events to training and coaching, from crisis management to the use of social media.
Since 2005 we have had the pleasure to work for over 50 companies and associations that operate in diverse sectors: Food & Beverage, Toys & Games, Banks and Insurance Firms, Web and Hi Tech, Oil & Energy, Travel & Tourism, just to mention a few.
In 2013 we established an office in Rome, integrating Social Media Management and Consulting into our range of services. With a new host of digital communication professionals, Competence has set up a Social Media Marketing team made up of analysts, community managers and account managers.
