The Friendship Bench programme is an evidence-based mental health intervention developed in Zimbabwe to bridge the mental health treatment gap. Our mission is to get people out of depression by creating safe spaces and belonging in communities to enhance mental well-being and improve quality of life through the use of problem solving therapy. Our aim is to empower people to solve their own problems and realise their capacity to take control of their lives.
