Twenty14 Holdings is the hospitality investment arm of the Abu Dhabi based LuLu Group International. Founded in 2014 to capitalize on the growth in the global hospitality industry, the company has already acquired a number of prestigious properties.
Twenty14 Holdings currently has assets worth more than $750 million spread across UK, Europe, GCC and India. The company opened its first five-star hotel in UAE at Business Bay in Dubai, managed by Steigenberger Hotel Group, a leading German-based hospitality firm in 2015.
The firm co-owns the Sheraton Oman Hotel in Muscat, a 230 key five-star architectural marvel, which was reopened in 2016. Built in 1985, Sheraton Oman is a landmark hotel located at the heart of Muscat in Ruwi and is also one of the tallest buildings in Oman.
In 2018, Twenty14 Holdings marked its entry into Scotland with the acquisition of the landmark Scottish property Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh - The Caledonian. ‘The Caley’, as it is affectionately known among Edinburgh locals, has embodied the very best in Scottish hospitality for over a hundred years.
In 2019, the group entered into a forward purchase contract with Swiss real estate developer Necron AG to develop a brand-new Intercity Hotel Zurich Airport in Rümlang, Switzerland. The purpose-built, 260-room, 4-star hotel will be located close to the Rümlang station, A1 motorway and offers fantastic transport links, including access to Zurich International Airport in ten minutes, while the city centre is just 15 minutes away.
The group has also made a £110 million agreement with property developer Galliard Homes to create a luxurious five-star hotel at 1-5 Great Scotland Yard, the former headquarters of London’s Metropolitan Police Services in London, UK. The custom-built 92,000 sq ft hotel, to be called the Great Scotland Yard Hotel, is set to open in 2019.
