The Dental Surgery Center of DC is a new ambulatory surgical center (ASC) that offers a unique environment for children and special needs patients to receive high-quality care while under general anesthesia. We specialize in providing dental care for patients that cannot be treated in a typical dental office because of the severity of their conditions or other circumstances such as young age, hyperactivity, anxiety or special needs. The Dental Surgery Center of DC is not like a traditional dental office. We do not perform routine dental checkups. Instead, our professionals exclusively provide dental restoration under general anesthesia in a dedicated hospital-grade operating room. Each patient is pre-screened by nurses before receiving individualized treatment from our dental surgeon, an MD anesthesiologist, and a registered dental assistant. Our Director of Dental Quality is Dr. Joseph Field, a graduate of USC and a nationally recognized dental surgeon. Our goal is to provide best-in-class surgical services to all our patients. We accept patients with most insurance carriers, including Medicaid. We also allow patients without insurance to pay Medicaid rates in cash. Our goal is to eliminate many of the traditional barriers that prevent a patient from receiving adequate, affordable dental care and to contribute to a healthier, happier and more vibrant community in the DC metro area.
