Statement of Character and Purpose A coeducational college preparatory day school founded in 1960, Pingree seeks to achieve its mission primarily through its teachers, advisors and coaches, who establish close rapport with students in order to mentor them in scholastic work, athletics and extracurricular participation, as well as to identify and encourage personal strengths. Through this interaction, and in partnership with parents, Pingree hopes to instill the values expressed in its mission.
