Warrah is a Rudolf Steiner organisation providing a wide range of services to adults and children with disabilities in Sydney’s North West. Our mission is to provide services that maximise each person’s capacity for self-determination, creativity and contribution.
Warrah is a registered provider of a broad range of supports under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Our services include:
Supported Independent Living:
• Accommodation in group homes for around 50 people with intellectual disabilities who need support in their daily lives in Dural and Sydney’s North West.
Community Support Services:
• Focus on providing meaningful planned activities, according to goals and interests
• Tailored options to support continuing education, life and social skill development, participation in and contribution to local community life
• Over 75 people access Warrah’s Community Support Services which includes community courses
• Activities include community participation, leisure activities, creative arts, skills development, therapy programs, vocational skills, volunteering and farming
Warrah Specialist School:
• A registered independent specialist school for children with intellectual disabilities offering placement for day pupils K-12.
• Each individual has the right to a full, balanced education and should not be deprived of a wide ranging curriculum because of developmental or intellectual disability
Warrah Biodynamic Farm and Shop:
• Warrah Farm at Dural (certified since 1993) was founded to enable individuals with intellectual disabilities to learn about biodynamic farming techniques, healthy food and nutrition
• Warrah Farm Shop is a social enterprise retailing a range of quality, fresh produce; dairy; groceries and meat all certified organic and/or biodynamic
