The National Center for Urban Solutions (NCUS) has served the urban community for nearly 20 years moving individuals mired in the negative impacts of urban poverty to socioeconomic self-sufficiency. Founded in 1993 by John H. Gregory, our award winning programs have been recognized locally by the city of Columbus, nationally by the White House under former Presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush, and by HUD as a best practice model. From our humble beginnings as a community-based non-profit we have built a national reputation working within urban communities. Our core competencies focus on workforce development, education and health & wellness.
Through our employment job training programs we have established workforce development partnerships with some of the Nation’s top employers, including The Ohio State University, Turner Construction, Eddie Bauer Spiegel, Belfor Restoration, Central Ohio Workforce and ResCare, Inc, Lbrands to provide innovative solutions to connect qualified individuals with career opportunities. To date we have moved over 13,000 individuals toward self sufficiency.
Our education services equip our clients to reach the students they serve, provide instruction in holistic way and prepare students for higher education and/or gainful employment. Annually, we connect with over 50,000 individuals providing health and Wellness education in 12 major cities across the United States.
