Founded in 1950 by Mose and Garrison Siskin in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Siskin Children’s Institute is a nonprofit healthcare organization serving Tennessee and Georgia, and achieves its mission through pediatric health care services, home visiting, and outreach in the field of developmental pediatrics. The Institute provides developmental pediatric health care services, home and community-based early intervention, and family support through health care navigation services.
Health Care
The Siskin Center for Developmental Pediatrics is a regional developmental pediatric center, led by a team of developmental pediatricians, with services available in Chattanooga and Nashville, TN. Children are referred to the Institute for medical, psychological and cognitive assessment, diagnosis and treatment, including, occupational, speech and language, applied behavior analysis, and other therapies as well as counseling and social skills groups.
Home Visiting
The Siskin Home & Community-Based Early Intervention program is designed to help parents, other caregivers and children with special needs gain the knowledge and confidence they need to be successful in life. Through visits with a developmental therapist, the family receives information, support, guidance and consultation about improving the child’s and family’s quality of life.
