Headland Design is an interpretive design practice. We specialise in making historic, cultural and environmental sites, stories and collections compelling and inspiring to their visitors.
We are a limited company managed by co-directors Ruth McKew and Stuart Jones. Ruth and Stuart work on every project and are supported by a dedicated specialist team of researchers, exhibition, 3D and graphic designers.
We work on projects of all sizes from graphic panels and print work to large-scale interactive exhibitions – usually on a design and build basis. We also undertake consultancy work including Feasibility Studies, Audience Development Plans, community consultation and Activity and Interpretive Plans. We specialise in work on HLF funding applications and are able to support clients through this process.
