We’re here to help sort out complaints about the service you have received from your lawyer or claims management company in England and Wales. We’re free, independent and fair.
We can get involved in different types of complaints including those relating to wills and probate issues, divorce, child contact arrangements, personal injury, accident management services, a personal injury claim, mis-sold investment or pension, and buying or selling a house.
We also help legal service providers and claims management companies improve their complaint handling through professional courses and feedback to the industry. The Legal Ombudsman for England and Wales was set up by the Office for Legal Complaints (our Board) under the Legal Services Act 2007 to look into complaints about regulated service providers.
