The Alliance Française is a non-profit organization (501 C3) whose mission is to promote and enhance the knowledge and appreciation of French and Francophone culture, to increase the knowledge of the French language, and to encourage interaction among French, Francophone and American people through programs in education and the arts.
Our two campus, Palo Alto Area Campus and Campbell Area Campus, offer group classes on campus, private lessons on and off campus, as well as corporate classes. All classes are taught by native French speaking teachers.
Classes are for 4 to 12 students, year-round, through 4 sessions of 10 to 12 weeks. They cover Beginner, Intermediate, and advanced programs. Palo Alto Campus offers literature and history ateliers in French for proficiency and native French speakers. Workshops complete the programs with specific topics.
If you already know some French, you may register at any time for these classes. We suggest you choose the class you think the most appropriate, and use the free placement test to get a better understanding of your level.
Private lessons are for adults, teens and children all levels at the student’s choice of day and time. Private lessons are for one to four students.
Corporate classes are designed for all French level executives. Specific programs are developed to fit company goals.
To complete and enhance what you learn during classes, Alliance Française provides a French Film Club which shows French movies with English subtitles and a library where you can borrow French books and DVDs.
The Alliance Française Silicon Valley adheres to a non-discriminatory policy for all students and members.
