Through its Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX), ISACA helps organizations develop skilled cyber workforces and enables individuals to grow and advance their cyber careers.
The ISACA London Chapter, the first in the UK, was established in 1981. It is the local Chapter for London and the South of England with over 3,000 members who come from a wide cross-section of business including the accountancy and information systems professions, central and local government, the banking, manufacturing and service sectors and academia.
The group objectives include:
• to promote the education of and help expand the knowledge and skills of members in the inter-related fields of auditing, quality assurance, security and IT Governance;
• to encourage a free exchange of IT Governance, quality assurance, and security techniques, approaches and problem solving by members;
• to promote adequate communication to keep members abreast of current events in IT Governance, quality assurance, and security fields that can be of benefit to them and their employers;
• to communicate to management, auditors, universities and to IS professionals the importance of establishing controls necessary to ensure the effective organisation and utilisation of data processing resources.
