Our mission is to support women's self-sufficiency by providing individualized services and connections to local resources. We provide one-on-one assistance, goal planning, and advocacy to assist women with life’s trials, due to domestic violence, unstable housing, unemployment, and any other insecurities a woman can face. We believe when women are living safe, fulfilled, and productive lives, they can reach their full potential. This leads to raising happier, healthier children who grow up to break the poverty cycle.
Asking for help can be scary, but for the thousands of women who come to us each year, Women’s Resource Center is a haven of reassurance and encouragement. We are a warm welcoming place for women who don’t know where to turn for guidance in their time of need. We are a safe space to ask questions, have someone listen to their story without judgment, and receive the resources and tools needed to strengthen their lives Women are the backbone of the family and as a marginalized group, are at higher risk for poverty. When we invest in and equip women to succeed we all benefit. The likeliness of becoming reliant on government assistance is decreased and the effects are passed down to their children and impact economic growth for years to come. At Women’s Resource Center, we celebrate our community's richness and are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion; we fundamentally value and respect other's unique experiences. We are a welcoming and affirming environment and strive to treat all women with the sensitivity, understanding, and respect they deserve. Our vision is for a community where all women thrive.
