WhidbeyHealth Medical Center and clinics are operated by the Whidbey Island Public District Hospital, which is dedicated to providing exceptional care with compassion and respect.
WhidbeyHealth is committed to improving healthcare for the Whidbey Island community. WhidbeyHealth Medical Center is a not-for-profit, Medicare certified, Public District Hospital, incorporated under the laws of the State of Washington.
Our main campus in Coupeville opened as Whidbey General Hospital in March 1970 and has since undergone four major expansions, including the construction of the 39-bed inpatient wing approved by voters in 2013. We have also expanded outpatient care, both at our main campus and at numerous locations around the island. In June 2016 the hospital was rechristened WhidbeyHealth Medical Center as we unified all services and locations under the WhidbeyHealth name.
