Owners, David Evans, Daniel Vaughan and David Corsi, all have a
passion and dedication for providing extraordinary food and service in
unforgettable venues.
The trio met each other while working in the Melbourne restaurant
scene back in 1986. Dave Evans and Daniel were both chefs and
Dave Corsi was the front of house manager. After two years of working
together and becoming best mates, they teamed up to open their first
venue, The Lager Bar in Fitzroy Street, St Kilda and the rest is history.
The Hugos Group has been consistently recognised by its peers over
the years claiming some of the most prestigious bar and restaurant
accolades, including seven Sydney Morning Herald chef’s hats, Best
Restaurant in Australia, Best Nightclub in Australia, Best Small Caterer
