Parylene is a vacuum deposition coating process providing a thin film, transparent, pinhole free, conformal coating. The coating is used for many devices for many reasons. Parylene can reduce the chance of tin whisker and dendrite growth on military and aerospace electronics Parylene has been used to retard the aging process of paper documents and provide protection from moisture, chemicals, and mold. Many silicone & rubber products are Parylene coated to reduce drag and protect print from wearing away. Medical implants and instruments are Parylene coated to provide voltage resistance, biocompatibility, pinhole free protection, dry film lubricity, and resistant to bodily fluids.
