Lifeline Hunter is a local Lifeline Centre operating independently in the region located in Newcastle. Lifeline Hunter is a member of Lifeline Direct (LLD), a collaborative of local Lifeline Centres across 8 regions that share administrative and other support services. Sharing resources not only reduces administration costs but enables the Centres access to support in areas that they may not have previously had, all while maintaining to operate and serve their local communities.
LLD encompasses the Hunter Region, Central Coast in NSW, Northern NSW, New England & North West NSW, Bondi & Eastern Suburbs in NSW, Geelong and South West Victoria, Western Melbourne and Central Australian in the Northern Territory.
Lifeline Direct as a model focuses on supporting the development and ongoing implementation of suicide prevention programs in their local communities while looking for opportunities to grow Lifeline's services in areas where they do not currently exist.
