The Foundation for Fresno County Public Library's mission is: Supporting Life-Long Learning for a Stronger Community. It was created to provide funding that supplements property and sales tax revenue to support the 34 branches throughout Fresno County, focusing on facilities, materials and programs for youth and adults and special collections.
Through a strategic planning process, the Board of Directors has established the following three priorities for fundraising over the next three years: free Wi-Fi in 15 branches without it; Family Learning Centers in 5 additional branches; and a Mobile Learning Lab for bringing digital technology and design targeted for middle and high school students in rural communities.
