URBED (Urbanism, Environment and Design) Ltd. was established in 2006 in Manchester as an employee-owned co-operative and specialised in urban design, architecture, landscape and sustainability work in an urban context. URBED's work was underpinned by its core values of urbanism, community, environmental sustainability and design. The company worked on various public and private sector projects, including: - urban regeneration schemes; - town centre and university estate strategies; - outline planning applications projects; - large commercial masterplans; - urban design guidance and coding; - landscape design; - housing retrofit; - low-carbon architecture; - sustainability and renewable energy systems; - community energy & climate action planning; - research, writing and advocacy reports.
