As one of Cambridge's newest Colleges, Wolfson is proud to be a modern institution with a pioneering record, the first Cambridge College to admit men and women as students and Fellows on an equal basis. We are cosmopolitan, with over 90 nationalities represented among our current students, and egalitarian, with no High Table or Senior Combination Room, and all facilities shared between Fellows, staff and students alike.
The College is located on Barton Road, just west of Newnham and Selwyn Colleges, and occupies a single, nine-acre site where we accommodate up to 450 students. Our accommodation is presently undergoing a major refurbishment with the help of a substantial grant from the Wolfson Foundation.
The College provides tutorial and pastoral support and a wide range of facilities for its 499 full-time and 204 part-time postgraduate students, and 184 mature undergraduate students. There are also seminars put on by the Humanities Society and the Science Society, art exhibitions, concerts and recitals, and a wide range of sporting and recreational activities from rowing, table tennis and basketball to salsa and tango classes, aerobics and Japanese martial arts.
