Blockchain x Climate (BxC) is an activist-to-industry coalition of global stakeholders working together to define and author principles for meaningful cross-chain and cross-industry climate-related blockchain initiatives.
BxC is designed around three core pillars of change – Social, Technical, Structural. The development of each pillar occurs in concert with the others, to ensure efforts are coordinated, non-duplicative, and driving toward multi-chain and multi-sector interoperability.
This Network seeks to become the go-to global hub for all blockchain x climate related efforts. In order to achieve this level of market influence, the Network will exist as a superstructure housing pre-existing coalitions and working groups. The initial superstructure is a coalition amongst Eqo Networks, Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC), and BxCi (Blockchain x Climate Infrastructure) (formerly Blockchain Infrastructure Carbon Offset Working Group (BICOWG)). The superstructure allows for the ongoing addition or creation of coalitions and working groups, as needed and as additive to the efforts and goals of BxC.
