The Town of Victoria Park’s vision is to be a dynamic place for everyone!
As one of Australia’s fastest-growing metro areas, the population of the Town is forecast to soar from 38,000 to 56,000 by 2036 and could exceed 100,000 by 2050.
The area has been transformed into a highly desirable inner-city location, set apart by its multitude of offerings for residents including its proximity to the CBD, location on the Swan River foreshore and access to the entertainment precinct of Burswood, which includes Crown, Optus Stadium and Belmont Racecourse, as well as significant public transport and education facilities with the Causeway bus interchange, Armadale train line and Curtin University.
Billions of dollars are being invested to continue to turn the Town into Perth’s premier place for entertainment and entrepreneurship. We want to see people living in mixed-use precincts, and the creation of transit-oriented developments that enrich a cosmopolitan, inner-city lifestyle that brings energy and vibrancy to the area.
The Albany Hwy café strip has exploded in recent years to become renowned for the bevvy of food outlets offering casual and delicious dining. The area has been dubbed the “United Nations of food” with an incredible diverse range of cuisines. The appearance of small, and boutique bars and microbreweries is something new for Vic Park and has been welcomed by the community.
The Town has had a strong focus on activating its spaces, delivering events and supporting local businesses. We aim to continue this approach and build a brand around all things to see and do in Vic Park, to become known as a place to visit, eat, shop, play, invest, learn and live the life.
With all this happening and ahead of us, we know we need the best people on board to realise our values and vision. The Town is committed to attracting and supporting talented staff. We value our employees and offer great benefits, with flexibility for families and balancing work and life choices.
